SIR 2020 Cancellation FAQs for Registrants

Are you refunding my SIR registration fee?

Yes. We will automatically refund your SIR registration. We are currently working through this process and appreciate your patience during this time.  We anticipate you will see a full refund on your credit card within 30 days.  If you paid by means other than credit card, we will be reaching out to you. You will receive a cancellation confirmation once your record has been canceled. As we learn more about the timing, we will provide you with additional updates.

 

Are you refunding my additional registration fees such as guest badge, networking lunch, hands-on workshop, Stroke Course, RPVI and/or IR Domain?

Yes. We will automatically refund the additional fees noted above, including any cancellation fees you may have incurred from hotel cancellations through Experient. SIR intends to continue to produce a DVL product and will deliver it when it is available in the next couple of months. Please stay tuned for more details regarding the DVL.

What about the DVL and Patient Care Syllabus?

SIR intends to continue to produce a DVL product and will deliver it when it is available in the next couple of months. We will not refund your DVL purchase unless requested. Please stay tuned for more details regarding the DVL. 

If you ordered the Patient Care Syllabus you will receive a copy in the mail if you haven't received it already. 

 

How can I cancel my hotel room reservation?

If you booked within the official SIR hotel block, we will be canceling your reservation with the hotel. If you wish to keep your reservation, please reach out to the hotel directly to rebook your reservation. 

If you did not book within the official SIR hotel block, you will need to cancel directly with the hotel.

Are you refunding flight or other travel costs?

No. We will not refund individual travel costs. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps. Many airlines are either waiving cancellation fees or considering the action that precipitated your cancellation. Please contact your airline to see if your ticket qualifies. We apologize for any inconvenience and challenges this may cause you. Should you need documentation, please download this letter of cancellation

 

I do not agree with the decision to cancel the SIR 2020 meeting. Who can I talk to about this?
