SIR 2020 FAQs

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the SIR 2020 Virtual Meeting June 13-14!

We have just a few important notes and reminders to share with you...

 

The meeting is being held via Zoom webinar. 

 

For optimal viewing, please download and install the Zoom app on your desktop or mobile device.

Zoom invites will be sent to all registrants on Friday, June 12. You will receive separate Zoom invites for each session. Use the add to calendar feature to seamlessly integrate the meeting into your schedule

What happens when I click on the session Zoom links?

 

When joining any of the sessions, you’ll enter a “waiting room” until the session begins. We will let you in a couple minutes before the session starts so that we can begin on time. All attendees are muted for the webinar. 

 

Session Q&A

 

Questions can be asked anonymously and will be reviewed by the moderators and answered live or in the Q&A box at the bottom of the screen .

 

What do I do if I have connection issues?

If you have any issues connecting, first try to close out of Zoom and rejoin the session. If that doesn’t help, you can take a look at Zoom’s Troubleshooting page, their FAQs list, or search their online Help Center.  

 

What is the meeting Time Zone?

 

All times listed for the agenda and your registered session are in Eastern Time. Please make sure you adjust for your time zone so that you don’t miss any of your sessions!

 

Are we recording the sessions?

 

Indeed we are! We will be recording all sessions and look forward to finding ways to make insights and materials from the online meeting available in the future. Look for future communications via SIR Connect and SIR e-mails.

To sign in and access the posters: new users need to create an account or request password assistance. (Found at the top of the webpage and under the red bar).

Getting social

 

During the meeting, we will be posting highlights using #SIR20VIR. We encourage you to also post about the meeting, using the hashtag #SIR20VIR to loop in your colleagues who may not be attending.
