Presentation Guidelines

Important Information

Please be sure to read the guidelines on the Presentation Management Website before uploading your presentation.

Please take steps to compress your videos. Uncompressed videos will make a very large file and will take longer to upload and will not be better quality than a modern codec. Recommended codecs are WMV, H.264 (AVI, MOV) MPEG-1, MPEG-4 (Part 14). PowerPoint 2013 also supports MOV files; use H.264 codec with AAC audio for the best compatibility.

If you need assistance or have questions about uploading your presentation please contact PresentationManagement@freemanco.com.

Confirmation that your Presentation was received

After submitting a file, you will receive a confirmation email within an hour. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact PresentationManagement@freemanco.comto ensure your file was received.  When contacting support for technical issues please reference SIR 2019 as the conference name and the presenter’s full name.

How to make changes to your presentation

If you need to make changes to a presentation that you submitted, you may resubmit the files on the website using a new file name; you should also delete the earlier submission. It’s strongly suggested to review your presentation prior to your session, please visit the Speaker Ready Room on site at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 501AB.

How to back up files

Although we take every precaution to ensure files are not corrupted during the file upload, it is always recommended that a backup copy of your presentation is brought with you on an USB stick.

Presenter Mode in the Meeting Room

We now have the ability to run presenter mode in the meeting rooms. That allows attendees to see your slides on the monitor, but only you can view the associated notes on the lectern. For more information on presenter mode in PowerPoint, please click here.
