A workshop detailing indications and techniques for spinal and extraspinous musculoskeletal interventions in the setting of oncologic disease: Management of painful vertebral metastases; Extra-Spinal Musculoskeletal Metastases: Role of Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Thermal Ablation; Percutaneous Osteosynthesis for Management of Osseous Metastases; Multidisciplinary treatment of osseous metastases; Management of Desmoids
Learning Objectives:
Identify the indications and patient population for percutaneous spine radiofrequency ablation, apply techniques that will maximize ablation success with the goal of local tumor control and determine cases that will need thermoprotective techniques.
Identify extraspinal/pelvic lesions that are appropriate for thermal ablation and what modalities and techniques will provide effective pain palliation and local tumor control.
Identify indications and metastatic lesions in which percutaneous osteosynthesis is indicated.
