New for SIR 2026, the Case Competition highlights clinical excellence, innovation, and problem-solving in interventional radiology through real-world cases demonstrating diagnostic insight, technical creativity, and patient-centered outcomes. Selected finalists will present their cases live on Wednesday, April 15, from 8:00–9:30 AM, delivering a 6-minute presentation followed by a 4-minute Q&A before a panel of expert judges. Cases will be evaluated in three categories: Innovation/Wizardry, recognizing creative techniques and novel solutions to complex challenges; Educational Value, highlighting clear teaching points and meaningful clinical insights; and Audience Favorite. This fast-paced session blends education with friendly competition while fostering mentorship and collaboration across the interventional radiology community.

Learning Objectives:

Understand a range of techniques that can be useful for challenging patient scenarios
Provide a thoughtful risk benefit discussion for complex complex situations.
Recognize rare pathologies and disease processes that may be encountered in IR
