Women’s health in interventional radiology extends far beyond the uterus, encompassing a wide spectrum of conditions where minimally invasive therapies play a critical and evolving role. This session highlights contemporary IR approaches to complex, high-impact clinical challenges across the lifespan, with an emphasis on evidence-based decision-making and practical technique.
Faculty will explore the role of fallopian tube interventions in the modern IVF era, percutaneous treatment strategies for endometriosis, and emerging updates in breast cancer cryoablation. Additional talks will address the management of venous thromboembolism during pregnancy, minimally invasive therapies for pelvic malignancies, and the realities of occupational radiation exposure—dispelling common myths related to fertility and long-term cancer risk.
Designed for practicing interventional radiologists, this session combines technical “how-I-do-it” insights with updates on evolving indications, safety considerations, and patient-centered outcomes, underscoring IR’s expanding impact on women’s health outside the uterus.
