Content Level: 200 (intermediate)

This session is focused on describing how to obtain, maintain, and improve difficult accesses and the complications associated with the accesses. Additionally, access and complications can occur during advanced interventions to improve or restore physiologic functioning in native and post-surgical genitourinary tract.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participant will be able to manage retained foreign bodies and retrieve encrusted drains, stents and stones within the urinary tract.
  • Upon completion, participant will be able to recognize and address access issues in the native and transplant kidneys.
  • Upon completion, participant will be able to understand basic and intermediate concepts regarding ureteroscopy and lithotripsy.
