Description of the session: Immunotherapy treatment options are available across virtually the entire cancer landscape, and yet there are many patients for whom it does not provide benefit. We know that our locoregional interventions can cause profound local immune effects, and so such therapies could help further unlock immunotherapy’s potential. This session will explore the interplay between the two IOs, immuno-oncology and interventional oncology. The immunologic ramifications of both contemporary and emerging therapies will be discussed, as will cutting edge translational and clinical trials.
This session is provided in collaboration with the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer.
