This session will serve as the inaugural in-person meeting of the International IR Curriculum Recommendations Task Force. The long-term goal of this task force is to develop a set of curriculum recommendations that outline the essential components of an interventional radiology training program while accounting for regional needs, available resources, and local healthcare systems. These recommendations are intended to serve as a resource for national societies and institutions seeking to establish or strengthen IR training programs.

The aim of this initial meeting is to establish a shared understanding of the current state of IR training across different regions of the world, identify major barriers to implementing ideal training structures, and assess the potential value of developing an international recommendations document that could support regional training development.

Learning Objectives:

Summarize the current structure and status of IR training in the regions represented by participating societies.
Identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities within existing IR training systems in each region.
Discuss key barriers and challenges to developing optimal IR training pathways across different healthcare environments.
Evaluate the potential role and value of international curriculum recommendations in supporting regional IR training development.
