This session, IO Around the World—Regional Perspectives on HCC, compares how hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is managed across different global regions from an interventional oncology perspective. Speakers will present regional practice patterns, commonly used clinical guidelines, and real-world decision-making shaped by healthcare systems, reimbursement, and multidisciplinary team structures.
Drawing on perspectives from the United States, Asia, and Europe—including both technology-driven and universal healthcare settings—the session will highlight differences in the use of locoregional therapies and region-specific research efforts. By contrasting these approaches, the session aims to provide a concise, practical understanding of current global HCC practice and the evolving role of interventional oncology.
