This session brings together experienced interventional radiologists and gynecologists from diverse practice settings and regions to review the current evidence, identify gaps in knowledge, and discuss where our specialties align — and where we still diverge.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss key areas of controversy in women’s health where IR and GYN approaches diverge, including treatment of fibroids, adenomyosis, pelvic venous disorders, and postpartum hemorrhage.
Evaluate current clinical evidence for IR therapies in women’s health and identify barriers to utilization, including data gaps, referral biases, and systemic limitations in interdisciplinary access.
Propose collaborative care models between IRs and gynecologists to improve patient outcomes, optimize referral patterns, and align clinical decision-making across specialties.
