CEO and Medical Director Minimally Invasive Procedure Specialists, United States
This session will focus on the tools and techniques to plan and execute recanalization of complex chronic total occlusions in the central venous system, with an emphasis on sharp recanalization, RF wires, inside-out techniques, intravascular ultrasound and cone beam CT, how to manage chronically occluded venous stents, which stents to use for which situations, and when the situation may be futile.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participant will be able to plan and execute recanalization of difficult venous occlusions when conventional tools and crossing techniques have failed, and understand the risks inherent with these more advanced techniques and how to avoid them.
Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the best tools to address acute and chronic material without venous stents and how to ensure that recanalized venous stents will remain patent as long as possible.
