Vascular anomalies (VA) are a group of rare diseases, best managed with a multidisciplinary approach. Multidisciplinary clinics are most frequently affiliated with pediatric centers; by early adulthood, the majority of VA patients become ineligible for further care in pediatric centers. Locating a VA provider in any specialty can be very challenging for adult patients. Deterioration of the adult VA clinical condition is often unavoidable in the absence of ongoing care. Many interventional radiologists learn VA interventions such as embolization, ablation, and sclerotherapy in training; however, this experience alone is insufficient for the diagnosis and comprehensive management of adult VA patients.
