The JVIR artificial intelligence (AI) workshop will feature a panel of JVIR editorial board members, who will discuss publication assistance and ethics in the age of AI. Current norms of academic publication ethics will be reviewed, including the encouraged vs forbidden use of AI, the guidelines for which are still being formulated. JVIR/CVIR Reporting Standards for research that uses AI methodology will be presented. Continuing on last year’s success, there will be another game-show style competition challenging participants to identify which passages describing IR patients and procedures were generated by an LLM.

To understand the growth of AI in scientific publication and the current rules governing its use
To be exposed to the consensus document guiding conduct and reporting of AI-related research in IR
To learn how to differentiate AI-generated work from human-generated work
