They face challenges such as unclear program structures, interview scheduling conflicts, and the need to navigate two separate yet intertwined specialties. This dual process increases financial and logistical burdens, making it a significant hurdle for many aspiring IR physicians. Programs have the potential to mitigate these stressors and enhance the overall application experience by improving coordination and transparency.
