Surgeon Perspective on Benign Thyroid Nodular Disease: What Do Simple and Complex Thyroidectomies Look Like and How Do We Define Who Is Not a Good Surgical Candidate?

After much anticipation, the ATA statement on Thyroid RFA (which also mentioned goiter embolization) sparked cross-specialty interest in thyroid interventions. Now, with direct SIR effort, a CPT code update is imminent, with specific interest in the IR community. Therefore, this session is designed as an IR-directed primer toward building a new Thyroid-IR service line. Panelists from Endocrine Surgery, Endocrinology, and Interventional Radiology join to provide high-yield didactics, interactive case and patient management discussions, as well as practice-building pearls.
