The ECS is hosting a section debate to discuss the opinions to a popular topic: Should IR and DR be separated? This panel will discuss both sides of the debate.

Evaluate the Impact of Separation – Analyze the potential benefits and challenges of separating Interventional Radiology (IR) from Diagnostic Radiology (DR) in terms of training, practice, and patient care.
Understand Diverse Perspectives – Explore differing viewpoints from IR and DR specialists on how separation or integration affects career development, procedural autonomy, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Formulate an Informed Opinion – Develop a well-rounded perspective on the debate by considering real-world examples, professional experiences, and the future direction of both fields.
