The joint WIR/ACIR Leadership Workshop is designed for all SIR members interested in starting a new leadership role or in taking their leadership to the next level. You will have the chance to hear from and interact with seasoned IR leaders at all levels: section chiefs, group/department chairs, hospital administration, and society leaders. The workshop will start with a guided Q&A of the leadership panel before transitioning to small group discussions facilitated by the panel members covering commonly encountered, but challenging, topics.
Learning Objectives:
Learn about the different pathways into leadership at both local and national levels.
Understand the difference between leadership and management, as well as when one would be more beneficial than the other.
Learn how to approach a new leadership role and how to work with diverse teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
