This practical down-to-earth session will explain how and when AI in IR might influence your clinical life. A patient journey through an AI enabled IR point of care will review the workflow, impact points, and transformation from the viewpoint of a patient's journey. LLMs and foundation models will be untangled in simple clinical language with examples of how LLMs might be trained and specifically applied to IR procedures, during the procedure, when we need the information most. Future risks and pitfalls of AI in IR will be outlined in the context of ethics and bias. The nuts and bolts of how to develop, train, translate and validate AI tools in clinical practice will be spelled out.
