This course will provide an overview of the interventional management of painful benign and malignant conditions of the spine and axial skeleton, including pathologic fractures and degenerative causes of chronic low back pain. We will review interventional techniques related to vertebral augmentation, tumor and nerve ablation, SI joint fusion, spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pain pumps. We will explore the existing evidence and literature around these topics while emphasizing practical aspects to help the learner best implement these therapies within their practice.
