Learners in this session will be exposed to an array of cases demonstrating the multivariate techniques available for management of hemorrhagic complications in the pregnant patient. Specifically, topics to cover will include elective management for peripartum hemorrhage, embolic options in the emergent postpartum setting, and treatment options for patients who present with delayed onset hemorrhage after delivery.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the quality of evidence available for the use of endovascular techniques in helping manage placenta accreta spectrum deliveries.
  • Discuss the embolic choices and their advantages/disadvantages in managing postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Demonstrate suitable technical plans for pelvic arterial embolization and imaging follow-up after treatment.
