Goals and objectives of SIR Annual Scientific Meeting
It is SIR’s goal to promote the high-quality practice of interventional radiology through this and other educational programs. Meeting attendees will receive the latest information in basic and clinical research; experience techniques and technologies utilized by interventional radiologists around the world; see the latest equipment used in IR; and discuss social, political, and economic issues important to the IR community.
At the end of this meeting, the learner should be able to:
- Demonstrate the high-quality practice of interventional radiology in a team environment
- Illustrate the latest information regarding basic and clinical research in diseases, including techniques and technologies integral to the practice of interventional radiology
- Evaluate the latest equipment developed for interventional radiology procedures
- Discuss societal, political, and economic issues of importance to the interventional radiology community
Registration and Travel
Where does the meeting take place?
- SIR 2026 will occur at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada, April 11-15, 2026.
When will registration open for SIR 2026?
- Registration will open in October.
How do I register for the meeting?
- All registrations must have a SIR account to register. Click here to manage your SIR account. You don't have to be a member of SIR to have an account.
- SIR 2026 registration is to open at the beginning of October.
What is included for attendees with the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting registration?
- Full meeting registration includes access to the live meeting in Toronto, April 11-15, Saturday-Wednesday.
Are one-day passes available for purchase?
- Yes, one-day passes will be available in February and for on-site purchase for the education sessions and Expo.
Are medical students able to attend? Is there a discount available?
- Yes, medical students are welcome to attend the meeting. The medical student rate is $50 at early bird pricing. Special programming for medical students will take place on Saturday, April 11.
Can I transfer/cancel my registration?
- Yes. Please reference the cancellation policy for more details in your confirmation email.
Cancellation Policy
- Registration: Cancellations received in writing by March 20, 2026, will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after March 20, 2026. Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events, or early departure. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
- Housing:
All reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card. If you cancel within the hotel's cancellation policy or no show, the hotel will either retain the deposit or charge your credit card one night's room and tax. In addition, checking out of your hotel prior to your scheduled departure date could result in an "Early Departure Fee" equal to one night's room and tax.
Navigating the Meeting
Where do I find the SIR 2026 App?
- The SIR 2026 App will be available to download through the Apple App Store or Google Play. It is compatible with iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices (phones and tablets). The app will be available a week before SIR 2026.
What else should I know about the mobile app?
- The SIR 2026 mobile app is a virtual program book that consists of all the information to navigate the meeting, e.g., build your schedule by favoriting sessions and exhibitors, review what is happening in any given moment during the days of the event, and provide feedback on the educational content! The app will be available a week before SIR 2026.

How do I claim my CME meeting credits?
- Please click here to read the CME accreditation statement. Click here for instructions on claiming CME credit or participation hours AFTER the meeting. All attendees will be required to claim credits within the SIR Learning Center via the SIR 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting course found on the dashboard AFTER the conclusion of the meeting.
