Call for Reviewers
The SIR 2026 Annual Meeting Committee is seeking qualified and experienced reviewers to help ensure that the highest-quality scientific and educational abstracts are selected for presentation at SIR 2026. New this year, volunteer as a reviewer, submit your research, and propose a session—all
through the SIR 2026 Submission & Reviewer Portal.
Submit your application here by Friday, September 12.
Log in to the
SIR 2026 Submission & Reviewer Portal and select “
Click here to begin a new submission” to start your reviewer application. For the Session Title, enter “
Reviewer Application”, and under the Submission Type dropdown, select
Reviewer Application. You can then add your information and sign up for the
Trainee First Mentorship Program.
Important Information:
- Commitment: Reviewers must be available to access the online review platform and complete their assigned abstracts (approximately 30) during the review period, September 30 - October 14.
- Reviewer Benefit: As a valued SIR 2026 volunteer, reviewers will receive 25% off full meeting registration.
- Eligibility: Only active SIR members are eligible to review scientific and educational content.
- Medical Students: SIR member medical students are not eligible to serve as reviewers. We encourage you to submit an abstract for SIR 2026. In addition, SIR and the SIR Foundation offer scholarships and grant opportunities to support attendance at the meeting.
- Nonmembers: Nonmembers are not eligible to review. We encourage you to submit an abstract for SIR 2026 and explore the benefits of SIR membership.
Trainees First Mentorship Program
The SIR Annual Scientific Meeting Committee, in collaboration with the Association of Program Directors in IR (APDIR), offers the Trainees First abstract review mentorship program. This initiative allows residents to participate in the abstract review process alongside their program directors, providing valuable mentorship and experience.
