Welcome to the online press room for the Society of Interventional Radiology. SIR's 35th Annual Scientific Meeting will be held March 13-18, 2010, at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, Fla.

This meeting is a recognized forum for peer-reviewed presentations of new research by interventional radiologists and allied scientists from around the world. It provides a host of news opportunities ranging from scientific presentations and news conferences to hands-on workshops and technical exhibits. Registered members of the press are welcome to attend all scientific sessions; press registration is complimentary.

Important Dates

Program: March 13-18, 2010

Hotel deadline: Feb. 5, 2010

Press Room opens: Saturday, March 13, 2010
Press conference 1: Monday, March 15, 9-10:30 a.m.
Press conference 2: Tuesday, March 16, 9-10:30 a.m.

General Information: The Press Room hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registered reporters will have access to computers, fax machine, the Internet , phones, work tables and food. Be sure to read the Press Room Guidelines before you arrive.

Press conferences will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15, and Tuesday, March 16. If you would like to be notified, please contact our senior communications manager to get added to our distribution list.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to registered press each day in the Press Room. Physician experts will stop by to talk to reporters about the latest trends and research.
